Job Summary

As a Sun & Spa Consultant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our salon—guiding clients through our tanning and wellness services, offering knowledgeable product recommendations, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet every client with a warm, welcoming, and energetic attitude.
  • Learn clients’ goals and skin types to recommend the appropriate tanning or wellness service.
  • Explain equipment usage, safety guidelines, and salon policies in a clear and friendly manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment at all times.
  • Ensure lotions, towels, and equipment supplies are stocked and ready for use.
  • Upsell lotions and other retail products based on client needs and preferences.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals while providing exceptional service.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits.
  • Accurately maintain client records, including preferences and visit history.
  • Open and/or close the salon following company procedures.

Compensation

Starting at $15.00 per hour + uncapped commission and bonuses

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to connect with clients
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
  • Able to stand, bend, and move throughout shifts
  • Prior sales or customer service experience preferred, but not required
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable
SUN & SPA MANAGER

Job Summary

Step into a leadership role with Zip Tanz & Wellness as our Sun & Spa Manager. We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic manager who can lead by example, motivate a team, and deliver an exceptional client experience. This role oversees day-to-day salon operations, staff performance, training, inventory, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and develop a high-performing salon team.

  • Train team members on sales, service standards, equipment usage, and customer care.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and performance feedback.

  • Foster a positive, team-focused workplace culture.

Operations & Store Management

  • Manage all aspects of daily operations including cleanliness, scheduling, inventory, and cash handling.

  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and readiness for clients.

  • Monitor product levels and place supply orders as needed.

  • Create staff schedules that align with business needs.

Client Experience & Sales

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure the same standard across the team.

  • Support staff in meeting and exceeding sales targets for memberships, services, and retail.

  • Address client concerns professionally and ensure a seamless guest experience.

  • Build lasting client relationships and promote brand loyalty.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate client records and compliance with safety and tanning regulations.

  • Assist the District Manager with reporting, communication, and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, positive, and enthusiastic leadership style

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand for long periods

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience (Preferred)

  • 1–2 years sales experience

  • 1–2 years customer service

Prior management or supervisory experience
